About This Project
When the MGM Grand opened the show EFX, it was the most expensive and largest scaled theatre installation in the world. The lead would change about every two years given the famously strenuous (i.e., dangerous) nature of the role. (The lead plays five characters, each flying through the air or falling through holes at any given time. Then there’s the fire . . . )
Now it was Broadway legend Tommy Tune’s turn. To promote his EFX show, we decided to run contrary to the normal Vegas show hoopla by making a tongue-in-cheek, behind-the-scenes documentary that took a deadly serious look at the biggest show in town and made it clear why you should see Tommy Tune now, before something goes terribly wrong.
