ABOUT THIS PROJECT
The Colburn School is, to some within music school circles, the Julliard of the West. While it is definitively of the west, such a comparison does it a disservice as The Colburn School is an experience altogether unique from traditional conservatories, attracting some of the world’s finest musical talent to study and live within the revitalized arts district of downtown Los Angeles.
When Prime Chuck Creative was invited by branding agency Addis to express the vision and promise of this institution, we were delighted. Chuck plays, writes, and records music. Erin studied voice at the New England Conservatory of Music. Our affinity for the project was poured into every page we wrote for the brochure. Exquisite art direction was provided by Elina Frumerman, who also created the new logo. Her work is not done justice by my cut-and-paste selections from the comp brochure that follow.
This labor of love was not eventually printed but is dear to us. We hope our writing about student devotion to their craft helps illustrate our own.
